Namrata Adani Leads ISSO’s Push To Expand School Sports Network To 630+ Schools

The International Schools Sports Organisation (ISSO) is expanding its school sports network to more than 630 schools, with student-athlete participation projected to cross 28,000 during the 2026-27 season.

Namrata Adani, an Advisory Board Member of ISSO and Founding Director and Promoter of Adani International School, Ahmedabad, is playing a key role in advancing the organisation’s vision of building a structured and future-ready sports ecosystem for young athletes.

ISSO has grown from 440 schools in 2024-25 to 510 in 2025-26 and more than 630 this season.

Student participation has increased from 21,100 to nearly 24,900, with participation now expected to exceed 28,000.

Beyond competitions, ISSO is focusing on different stages of athlete development. Its residential high-performance programme, ISSO IGNITE, provides training camps conducted by nationally and internationally accredited coaches.

ISSO Academy has partnered with the International School Sport Federation Academy, FIBA, the International Table Tennis Federation, the Badminton World Federation and Kukkiwon to provide internationally recognised education and certification programmes for coaches.

The organisation has introduced SCORE, or Sports Career Opportunities Reimagined, to help students explore academic and career opportunities beyond competitive sport by connecting them with universities, industry leaders and sports professionals.

ISSO has strengthened competitive pathways through its collaboration with the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India, particularly for young golfers seeking progression to higher levels of the sport.

The organisation will conduct national championships in Football, Tennis, Chess, Swimming, Judo, Taekwondo, Karate and Badminton during September, with more major events scheduled throughout the 2026-27 season.

With its expanding network and focus on coaching, performance development and careers, ISSO aims to create a connected pathway from grassroots participation to high-performance and professional opportunities.
