InterGlobe And Accor Launch Joint Hospitality Venture Targeting 300 Hotels In India By 2030

InterGlobe Enterprises and French hospitality major Accor have announced a strategic partnership to create India’s fastest-growing hospitality enterprise.

The new platform aims to operate a network of 300 hotels under Accor brands in India by 2030.

Currently, Accor runs 71 hotels in India, with 40 more in development, across economy to luxury segments.

The venture will unify the assets, development, and management operations of both companies in India into a single autonomous entity.

This new setup will become the exclusive growth vehicle for all Accor brands in the country.

Accor will lead brand management and operations, while InterGlobe brings deep market insight and execution capability.

IndiGo, InterGlobe’s airline subsidiary, plans to tie up with Accor to offer integrated travel and hospitality benefits through their respective loyalty programs – BluChip and ALL, Accor Live Limitless.

The partnership will let members earn and redeem points across flights and hotel stays.

Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, said, “We are excited to be working on a strategic partnership with Accor to elevate the travel experience and maximise the rewards of our valued loyalty members.”

BluChip, launched in November 2024, has already crossed 20 lakh members.

Investment In Treebo To Boost Budget Hotel Segment

Accor and InterGlobe will jointly invest in Treebo, one of India’s top budget hotel platforms, managing 800 hotels in 120 cities.

Treebo will lead the development of the Ibis and Mercure brands in India under a master license agreement. It has already signed deals for ten new Mercure properties.

Accor will use Treebo’s advanced tech platform to tap into India’s fragmented, unbranded hotel market.

The combined portfolio will make Accor-InterGlobe India’s third-largest hospitality player with over 30,000 rooms.

Rahul Bhatia, MD of InterGlobe, said, “Together with Accor’s world-class services and India’s dynamic growth, we aim to redefine the hospitality experience and set new standards for excellence.”

Sébastien Bazin, CEO of Accor, added, “This partnership marks a transformative moment. We’re aligning with a trusted partner and unlocking growth in one of the world’s most exciting travel markets.”

With India’s travel sector rapidly expanding, the InterGlobe Accor hospitality partnership positions both firms to capture significant value across aviation, hotels, and travel tech.
