iMoon Lighting, a global leader in lighting solutions for the food and fashion retail sectors, has announced its official entry into the Indian market.
The announcement followed high-level discussions with Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal during his recent official visit to Italy.
Pierluigi Gusmani, International Sales Director of iMoon Lighting, confirmed the company’s decision to establish its first-ever manufacturing facility outside of Italy.
“This is the first time the Italian company is going to make a manufacturing plant outside Italy,” he said after the meeting with Minister Goyal.
Minister Goyal met Italian business leaders to boost India-Italy trade ties.
iMoon Lighting has laid out a phased approach for its India operations.
Chiranjeevi Ranjan, Lighting Designer at iMoon, shared details of the company’s expansion timeline.
“We are planning to set up our India office in Delhi this September-October and start our operations in India,” Ranjan said.
He further added that the company would begin by assembling its products locally and move into full-scale manufacturing next year. The Delhi office will serve as iMoon’s headquarters for the Indian subcontinent.
iMoon Lighting currently supplies specialised lighting solutions to 68 countries and operates manufacturing units in Italy.
The company offers complete lighting solutions, from initial design to final installation, through its in-house team of expert lighting designers.
iMoon targets India’s growing demand for advanced lighting in food and fashion retail to enhance customer experience.
