Honeywell Unveils First Locally Designed & Manufactured CCTV Camera Portfolio In India

Honeywell has launched its first-ever CCTV camera portfolio designed and produced entirely in India.

The company developed these advanced surveillance solutions at its global development centre in Bengaluru and manufactured them in partnership with Indian EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) provider VVDN Technologies, which also played a key role as the hardware design partner.

Honeywell CEO Highlights Commitment To Indian Market

“This launch reflects our commitment to shaping the future of innovative, secure, and intelligent security solutions tailored for India,” said Vimal Kapur, Honeywell’s CEO and Chairman. “It also reinforces our commitment to the India growth story and stands as a testament to our deep local engineering capabilities and strong local partnerships.”

Feature-Rich 50 Series Targets Critical Infrastructure

The newly introduced 50 Series CCTV cameras feature intelligent video analytics for proactive threat detection, enhanced imaging performance, and gyro sensor-based image stabilisation.

They also include robust cybersecurity measures to meet the demands of critical infrastructure security across sectors such as government, healthcare, education, transportation, commercial, and real estate.

The product line offers a variety of models in both 3MP and 5MP resolutions, available in dome and bullet form factors to suit diverse surveillance needs.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw Endorses Honeywell Initiative

To mark the launch, Honeywell CEO Vimal Kapur met with Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways, and Information & Broadcasting, in New Delhi.

Other senior Honeywell leaders also attended the meeting.

Vaishnaw praised the initiative, stating, “The Indian economy is growing consistently. We are committed to establishing India as a ‘product nation’. These ‘Made in India’ CCTVs are a good step in that direction. We encourage the industry to Design in India, Make in India, and Make for the World.”

This launch follows Honeywell’s 2024 acquisition of Carrier’s Global Access Solutions business, including LenelS2.

With the addition of the 50 Series CCTV portfolio, Honeywell has further strengthened its position as a preferred Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for electronic security solutions across diverse market segments and industry verticals.
