Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani on Saturday congratulated Skyroot Aerospace on the successful orbital launch of Vikram-1, describing the mission as a historic milestone for India’s private space sector and a true reflection of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said the successful maiden orbital flight marks the beginning of a new chapter for the country’s rapidly expanding commercial space industry.
In a post on social media platform X, Gautam Adani congratulated Skyroot Aerospace founders Pawan Chandana and Bharat Daka, along with the entire team, as well as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and IN-SPACe for supporting the landmark mission.
The Adani Group Chairman said Vikram-1 had successfully achieved all its mission objectives during its maiden orbital flight, making history for India’s private space ecosystem.
Calling the achievement a testament to India’s technological capabilities, Gautam Adani said the mission demonstrated the true meaning of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He praised Skyroot’s young team, with an average age of just 28, saying they showcased the talent and innovation of young India.

Earlier, Skyroot Aerospace launched Vikram-1 under Mission Aagaman, making India the third country after the US and China to have a private company achieve an orbital launch.
Named after Dr Vikram Sarabhai, the rocket will place small satellites into a 450-km Low Earth Orbit, boosting India’s commercial space ambitions.
