In a move that has caught the attention of tech enthusiasts and followers alike, American billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has teased the possibility of a new product: the Tesla Phone, also referred to as the Tesla Pi phone. This announcement follows Musk’s recent rebranding of the social media platform Twitter to X.
The speculation intensified when a parody account on X shared an image of the purported Tesla Phone and posed the question to followers: “Would you like to use this phone?” According to the post, the device would come with the X app pre-installed and offer connectivity to Musk’s satellite internet service, Starlink.

While there is currently no official confirmation regarding the launch of the Tesla Phone, Musk has a history of sudden product announcements, leading many to believe that the phone could indeed become a reality. Social media reactions have been pouring in since the image was shared.
One user commented, “I will buy this phone only if it is a satellite phone and can connect to Starlink,” to which the parody account confirmed that the device would support Starlink connectivity. Another user suggested that the phone should feature options for ‘Free Speech’ servers. Meanwhile, a user named Ryan inquired about the phone’s size, stating he would consider it if it were similar to the iPhone 12 Mini. The account responded that the Tesla Phone would exceed those specifications.
Starlink, Musk’s satellite-based internet service, aims to provide high-speed internet access globally, and the parody account indicated that the Tesla Phone would leverage this technology. Users can reportedly access the service for approximately $100 per month, with ambitious claims that they could eventually use it from Mars.
Adding to the intrigue, a post circulating in an artificial intelligence entrepreneur group on Facebook claims that the Tesla Phone will not require traditional charging, as it will harness solar energy. This post also suggests that the phone could connect directly to Starlink for internet access, making it a unique offering potentially usable from locations beyond Earth.
As excitement builds around the Tesla Phone, Musk and Tesla have yet to release official details, leaving the tech community eagerly awaiting further announcements.
