Dhirubhai Ambani: Reliance Industries Limited: This is one of the most inspiring, motivational and quotes of real wisdom for anyone seeking to chase their dreams. It is the 90th birth anniversary of the industrialist Dhirajlal Hirachand Ambani popularly known as Dhirubhai Ambani. The man who rose from ashes to riches. The notable business tycoon came from humble beginnings born in Chorwad, Junagadh district, Gujarat, on December 28, 1932.

His parents were simple folks.His father, Hirachand Gordhanbhai Ambani, was a rural school teacher, and his mother Jamnaben Ambani, was a homemaker.

Dhirubhai Ambani, was always a quick thinker with grand dreams. Even while he was studying he was working part-time and making a decent first wage being Rs.300 according to Aajtak. His daring thinking and incessant intelligent efforts paved the journey of his founding,Reliance Industries Limited, one of the world’s largest multinational. He didn’t come from pedigree or great educational or financial background yet became a huge success story in the world of business.

He became a business tycoon with his own learnings, experience and effort with time.

In 1966, he started off with a polyester company Reliance Commercial Corporation which became Reliance Industries in 1973. He expanded his businesses into petroleum and finance which was later taken over by his sons Mukesh and Anil Ambani. He died in Mumbai on July 6, 2002, at an age of 69 years.

He gives hope and inspiration to so many ordinary Indians to pursue their dreams no matter what the situation or their background.

  • Success doesn’t discriminate

The son of a teacher ended up being a merchant because he dared to dream.

Dhirubhai believed, “If you work with determination and with perfection, success will follow.”

Dhirubhai believed “If you don’t build your dream, someone else will hire you to help them build theirs.” This powerful and ambitious mindset helped him take so many risks. He was ambitious and never shied away from calculated risks.

  • Self Confidence Triumphs Even Education

Dhirubhai studied only till class X but was always upgrading his skills and mastering new ones. He said “Challenge negative forces with hope, self-confidence, and conviction. I believe that ambition and initiative will ultimately triumph.”

  • No work is too small

From working as a gas station expert to selling chat pakoras Dhirubhai Ambani never shied away from any kind of work before finding huge success. In the beginning or even at a later stage life may throw you in all kinds of challenges and as Dhribubha said, “Our dreams have to be bigger. Our ambitions are higher. Our commitment is deeper. And our efforts are greater.”
