Adani Airports Unveils New International Terminal At Jaipur Airport, Offering Enhanced Passenger Facilities

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday inaugurated the renovated Terminal-1 of Jaipur International Airport, which reopens after nearly 11 years. CM Sharma stated that the upgraded facility is expected to benefit both tourists and investors, marking it as a symbol of Rajasthan’s development.

“The international Terminal-1 will provide modern facilities to passengers and play a vital role in attracting international investment to Rajasthan,” said CM Sharma during the inauguration.

Enhanced Facilities for Passengers

Dignitaries present included Jaipur MP Manju Sharma, Adani Airports Director Jeet Adani, and Adani Airport Holdings CEO Arun Bansal. CM Sharma highlighted the increased passenger handling capacity of Terminal-1, which will create more employment opportunities for Rajasthan’s youth.

The heritage-themed terminal will showcase Rajasthan’s culture, giving international tourists a taste of the state’s traditions. Visitors attending the upcoming Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit from December 9-11 will experience the newly renovated terminal.

New Infrastructure and Aviation Goals

The Chief Minister also mentioned that 10 immigration counters have been set up in the departure area, with 14 in the arrival area, along with 10 check-in counters. Passengers will also have access to duty-free outlets, a medical room, 24-hour ambulance service, and a lounge.

CM Sharma underscored the state government’s focus on expanding Rajasthan’s aviation sector, aiming for air access to every district. Plans include constructing helipads in all border districts and district headquarters. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in making India the world’s third-largest domestic aviation market and enhancing air travel accessibility for the middle class.

Sharma concluded by affirming that the state’s development and investment initiatives will contribute significantly to making Rajasthan a developed state in a rapidly advancing nation.
