(Original) CWC 2023: Clinical cricket by the awesome Afghanistan with a success mantra

This time it was not like this – Pakistan won the match but the Afghanistan won hearts. It was like this – Afghanistan won hearts and won the match too!

This is the Team Afghanistan which is the talk of the town today. Entire cricket fraternity is admiring their valiant efforts with the kiss of success. This is the same Afghanistan which was not able to win a single match in the last cricket world cup in the year 2019.

Now as always the winners are asked the secret of the success. Team Afghanistan also has to tell something about it. Before they could really come up with their success mantra, let’s see what exactly could it be.

First of all, the credit truly goes to the coach and mentor. Ajay Jadeja, former all-rounder &superstar fielder of Team India, is currently serving as a mentor for the Afghanistan men’s team. His inputs are apparently  helping the subcontinent team. Now we witness their game heading to a notch above.

When they arrived for the world’s biggest cricket contest they were a humble gentlemen team. They looked like just any other small time cricket team who have with their best efforts carved their place in the CWC.. But when the news was heard – Afghanistan humbled champions England at World Cup! It was something no body could really believe. But in fact they wanted to believe..believe in the Afghanistan!

This is where the secret lies. Afghani cricket team is an average cricket playing team with a class spinner bowler and a 14 years’ experienced captain. Be it fielding, bowling or batting, there is nothing which brings it to the top of the table. But the mantra given by the Guru does seem to have worked.

For him the squad says, “He (Jadeja) is a man who always gives happiness to you. He’s made cricket easy for us. He always says just go and enjoy.” They enjoyed and they won.

The match for others was full of suspense and thrill but for them it was a sheer joy. They enjoyed field then they enjoyed batting too. Afterwards, they loved to enjoy the victory too. They did not have anything to lose. But they had something which could not be lost.

The inheritance of talent emerged out of the deep aspiration worked wonders. The minnows first hunted down the world champions. And then the high moral showed them another path to victory and this time it was Pakistan. The hurt and humiliated Pakistan was then bleeding too after the defeat.

Then appears the Sri Lanka which was made proved a minor team by the Team Afghanistan. It was a seven wickets victory over them by the Afghans. Now they proved that cricket may be by chance but the success is not by luck! On the coming 3rd November, team Netherlands is to encounter the Team Afghans and they will probably be the forth prey.

The success mantra is the secret mantra. This was given by the mentor Jadeja. Go and enjoy ! Simple as that. If you don’t enjoy you are not in..and then you finally get out at the end of the day.

Play well and play fully with enjoyment is the success mantra. Though this is principally motivating but on ground also it works wonders. The team has learnt to be patient. They now bat with all patience in the world. No hurry, no mistake. The cool cricket then takes them to their desired end. This is what it is!

Hunger for victory, discipline on ground and patience to the max makes them a team with talent, efforts and success. March on, Afghanistan !
