Former President Donald Trump acknowledged the challenges Carter faced during his presidency, calling him a leader who worked tirelessly to improve American lives. Meanwhile, George W. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude for Carter’s steadfast commitment to democratic values, while Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán recalled the hope Carter brought by returning the Holy Crown to Hungary during the Cold War.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese summed up Carter’s legacy as one that is “best measured in lives changed, saved, and uplifted.” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken praised Carter’s integrity and diplomacy, emphasizing his efforts to forge peace between Israel and Egypt.
