US President Donald Trump To Attend FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Draw

US President Donald Trump will attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Draw at the Kennedy Centre in Washington, DC, this Friday, the White House confirmed.

The event marks a key milestone as the United States, Canada, and Mexico prepare to co-host the world’s biggest football tournament.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “On Friday, President Trump will attend the FIFA World Cup Final Draw at the Kennedy Centre,” underscoring the significance of the occasion as the country readies itself for an expanded and globally anticipated World Cup.

A Prestigious Gathering

The Final Draw will unite coaches, officials, and delegates from all qualified teams — as well as those still competing for a place — at the renowned John F Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts.

Teams will learn their opponents as the path to global football glory officially begins.

According to FIFA’s draw procedures, officials will place hosts Canada, Mexico, and the United States in Pot 1, while they will seed the remaining 39 qualified teams across four pots of 12 based on the FIFA Men’s World Ranking released on 19 November.

They will allocate the two play-off tournament placeholders and the four European play-off placeholders to Pot 4.

FIFA will unveil the updated match schedule for the 2026 World Cup 24 hours after the draw, revealing the tournament’s 12 groups of four — the first time the competition will feature this expanded format.

The reveal will confirm venues and kick-off times for all 104 matches.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino will lead the ceremony, accompanied by FIFA Legends and representatives from the 42 qualified teams, along with nations still vying for the remaining slots.

The event promises to set the stage for one of the most ambitious World Cups in history.

FIFA will release the finalised version of the 2026 World Cup match schedule in March, after the FIFA and European play-offs conclude and the last six teams secure their qualification.

The three host nations—Canada, Mexico, and the United States—expect to benefit significantly from global attention, increased tourism, and major sporting investment as preparations accelerate.
