US President Donald Trump Signs Sweeping ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ Into Law During Independence Day Celebration

In a major legislative milestone, US President Donald Trump signed the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ into law during the Independence Day ceremony at the White House.

The bill, which received final approval from the House of Representatives just a day earlier, marks a significant win for Trump’s administration. It combines broad tax reductions, sharp federal spending cuts, and increased funding for the military and border security.

“I’ve never seen people so happy in our country because of that, because we are directly supporting so many different groups — the military, civilians of all kinds, and workers across sectors. So you have the biggest tax cut, the biggest spending cut, the largest border security investment in American history,” Trump stated at the event.

President Trump praised Senate Majority Leader John Thune and House Speaker Mike Johnson for their roles in pushing the legislation through Congress. He praised the two as an unbeatable team.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt called the bill “an encapsulation of all of the policies that the president campaigned on and the people voted on.” She described it as ‘a victorious day for the American people’.

The House approved the bill Thursday afternoon, following its earlier passage in the Senate.

The legislation represents a sweeping Republican initiative aimed at reshaping federal priorities and bolstering national security.

Trump celebrated the bill’s success on Truth Social, calling it the dawn of a ‘New Golden Age’ for America.

US President Donald Trump’s message to the Nation

Earlier on Friday, taking to Truth Social, President Trump wrote, “The Republicans in the House of Representatives have just passed the “ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT.” Our Party is UNITED like never before and, our Country is “HOT.” We are going to have a Signing Celebration at the White House tomorrow, at 4 P.M. EST. Together, we will celebrate our Nation’s Independence, and the beginning of our new Golden Age.”

Trump went on to say the bill would lead to a stronger, wealthier, and more confident nation.

“The people of the United States of America will be Richer, Safer, and Prouder than ever before. Thank you to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, and all of the wonderful Republican Members of Congress who helped us deliver on our Promises, and so much more. Together, we can do things that were not even imagined possible less than one year ago. We will keep working, and winning — CONGRATULATIONS AMERICA!” he added.

The White House hosted lawmakers for the signing celebration, capping off a pivotal Independence Day marked by legislative triumph for the Trump administration.
