US President Donald Trump Highlights Expanding Gaza Stabilisation Force On Regional Calm

US President Donald Trump has announced that an international stabilisation force is already operating in Gaza and expanding, insisting that peace is holding across the Middle East as more countries join the effort.

“I think that it’s in a form, it’s already running in a very strong form,” Trump told reporters at the White House, emphasising that the arrangement is in place and gaining momentum.

Trump noted that additional countries are stepping forward to contribute troops, signalling wide international backing.

“They will send any number of troops I request,” he said, adding that the participating nations share a common desire for stability.

The force includes nations beyond the immediate region. “We have more than 59 countries,” Trump said. “We have many countries that aren’t even in the Middle East, but they’re fairly close. They want to be involved.”

He stressed that the initiative will continue to grow in strength and scope.

Calm Linked to US Strategy

Trump attributed the relative calm to recent US military actions against Iran and sustained diplomatic engagement across the region. He described the stabilisation effort as part of a broader strategy to prevent renewed violence in Gaza and limit the influence of armed groups hostile to US allies.

“They want to see peace,” Trump said, referring to the contributing countries, suggesting the international presence is helping deter further conflict and support stabilisation following months of fighting.

Gaza remains at the centre of overlapping crises involving Israel, Palestinian factions, Iran, Hezbollah, and instability in Syria.

The situation has drawn sustained international attention amid concerns over civilian casualties, humanitarian access, and the risk of wider regional escalation.

Allies coordinate closely with the US administration, and the administration stresses that multinational forces should take an active role in post-conflict stabilisation, particularly in regions where prolonged fighting has weakened governance and security structures.

India, maintaining ties with Israel and key Arab states, has closely followed developments in Gaza.

New Delhi has consistently called for restraint and the protection of civilians, as well as unimpeded humanitarian assistance. The country also supports dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
