US Launches Seventh Consecutive Night Of Strikes On Iran As Explosions Reported

Explosions were reported across several Iranian provinces on Friday night after the US Central Command (CENTCOM) launched a fresh round of strikes against Iran.

Iranian media reported blasts in Bushehr, Hormozgan and Yazd provinces, though authorities did not immediately provide details on the targets, casualties or damage.

CENTCOM said on X that it had carried out strikes against Iran for the seventh consecutive night to further degrade the country’s military capabilities.

The latest offensive follows a series of precision attacks carried out by US forces involving fighter aircraft, drones and naval assets.

According to CENTCOM, recent operations targeted dozens of Iranian military sites, including coastal surveillance and air defence installations, logistics infrastructure and maritime assets.

Among the key targets was the surveillance tower at Chah Bahar Shahid Kalantari Port, part of Iran’s maritime monitoring network along the Gulf of Oman.

The US military claimed the IRGC used the facility to monitor commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran, meanwhile, said it carried out retaliatory strikes on US-linked targets in Bahrain, including a depot for unmanned surface vessels and an artificial intelligence centre allegedly used for target identification.

The IRGC also claimed its air defence units shot down an AeroVironment RQ-11 Raven reconnaissance drone over Khuzestan province.

The latest exchanges mark a further escalation in tensions between the United States and Iran, raising concerns over regional security and the safety of international shipping routes through the Gulf.
