Three Indian citizens were hurt following missile and drone strikes targeting areas of the United Arab Emirates, according to officials.
The incident, which affected Fujairah, prompted swift responses from both Emirati authorities and the Embassy of India in the UAE.
The Indian Embassy confirmed it is coordinating closely with local officials to ensure the injured individuals receive proper medical treatment and support.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (UAE) strongly criticised what it described as ‘unprovoked aggression’ by Iran, stating that missile and drone attacks had struck civilian locations.
Authorities said the incident poses a serious threat to national security and violates international law, including the principles outlined in the United Nations Charter.
Officials reiterated that the UAE retains the right to respond to such actions in line with international law, emphasising the protection of its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of residents and visitors.
In a separate update, the Ministry of Defence (UAE) reported detecting four cruise missiles launched towards the country. Air defence systems successfully intercepted the threats, with loud sounds heard in several regions linked to these defensive operations.
The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority urged residents to remain indoors, follow official updates, and avoid approaching or handling debris from intercepted missiles.
Authorities warned that such materials could pose hazards and advised handling them only with proper training.
The situation remains under close monitoring, with calls from UAE officials for an immediate halt to hostilities.
