Trump Declares ‘Peace on Earth’ As New Year’s Resolution At Mar-A-Lago Celebration

US President Donald Trump welcomed 2026 by declaring ‘peace on earth’ as his New Year’s resolution during a gathering at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Speaking to guests on New Year’s Eve, Trump emphasised his aspiration for global harmony before reflecting on the state of the nation.

Asked about his resolution, the President replied simply, “Peace. Peace on earth. Peace on earth.”

He did not comment on queries regarding CIA operations in Venezuela or potential US troop deployments in Ukraine.

The celebrations, attended by a large number of prominent figures, featured a theatrical and festive setting. Guests were welcomed by a black carpet emblazoned with ‘Happy New Year, Mar-a-Lago’ in gold letters.

Musicians played patriotic tunes, including God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner, while a white floral arrangement marked the entrance to the ballroom.

Inside, a band performed I’ve Had the Time of My Life, setting the stage for Trump’s address and other festivities.

In his remarks, Trump lauded the United States’ economic performance, claiming unprecedented domestic investment and the construction of new factories across the country.

He cited growth figures that he said had exceeded expectations, noting, “You saw 4.3. They were predicting 1.9. 4.4.”

Focus on National Strength and Security

The President also highlighted revenue from tariffs, reporting hundreds of millions of dollars collected, and praised military funding, declaring the nation back and strong.

Trump encouraged continued efforts to take back our country and thanked lawmakers and leaders present at the event, including Congressman Tom Emmer.

He also mentioned investigations into alleged large-scale financial misconduct, vowing to recover billions of dollars lost to fraud.

A central feature of the evening was a live art performance by Vanessa Horabuena, described by Trump as one of the world’s greatest artists.

Painting a portrait of Jesus while dancing to Christian worship music, the artwork was auctioned to benefit St Jude’s and the sheriff’s department.

Starting at $100,000, the painting ultimately sold for $2.75 million after Trump offered to sign it.

High-profile attendees included US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, Donald Trump Jr, Rudy Giuliani, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Eric and Lara Trump, Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
