The Verbal Faceoff: Jo Biden warns Putin over the annexation plan

Biden in clear words clarifies his intentions to Putin saying, ‘‘Don’t misunderstand what I’m saying’. This is first of its kind American warning to Russia amid Ukraine war.

Today is the day when Russia is going to start the process of annexing Ukranian states under the Russian territory. As expected, the United States acted upon the Russian announcement which was claimed to be the biggest annexation after the World War 2 in Europe.

Russian declaring its rule over 15% of Ukraine territory occupied by Russian forces, has been made clearly unacceptable by America.

Biden warned Putin against against making any threat to NATO territory. Not only this, on its declared annexation of parts of Ukraine, America also has imposed wide-ranging sanctions on Russia.

Biden’s words were truly not a surprise for his Russian counterpart Putin when he stated that America is fully prepared with its NATO allies to defend every single inch of NATO territory. Biden also reiterated the phrase – Every single inch!

His final words of warning were : “So Mr. Putin, don’t misunderstand what I’m saying. Every inch.”
