With 5G launch by PM Modi, India will soon be Global Mobile Congress leader
Today was the day finally when India launched 5G with a pledge to send it across the country by the end of 2023.
For roll out of 5G network in the Capital, around ten thousand spots have been identified by the Public Works Department which will have the installation of small ‘cell sites’ or small towers.
Prior to the formal launch of 5G mobile telephoney services in India PM Modi inaugurated the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022 exhibition. Post inauguration at Pragati Maidan the Prime Minister went to get a first-hand experience of what 5G can do around pavilions which were set up by different technology providers and telecom operators.
On the other hand the statement of Mukesh Ambani also echoed around which claims that 5G Service would reach every Indian village by December 2023. He also expressed assurance towards Indian Mobile Congress’ escalation towards becoming Global Mobile Congress.
Initially proposed for 8 Cities, the 5G services will account for more than a third of total connections across India within next ten years. So far 80 per cent coverage of 5G is what the country the central government is targeting within a limited timeframe on the ASAP basis.
