Taiwan Monitors Chinese Military Activity Amid Incursions

On Monday, Taiwan tracked 2 Chinese military aircraft, and 10 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Sunday to 6 am on Monday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, 2 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

The aircraft also entered Taiwan’s southwestern Air Defence Identification Zone.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly. The forces have employed CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and coastal missile systems in response to the detected activities.

Taking to X, the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence said, “2 #PLA aircraft and 10 PLAN vessels operating around #Taiwan were detected up until 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. 2 of the aircraft entered Taiwan’s SW ADIZ. #ROCArmedForces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly.”

Earlier on Sunday, Taiwan detected 6 Chinese military aircraft, and 7 naval vessels operating around the nation. It was between 6 am on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday.

According to the Taiwan Ministry of National Defence, 4 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait.

The aircraft also entered Taiwan’s northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zone.

The Armed Forces have monitored the situation and responded accordingly. The forces have employed CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and coastal missile systems in response to the detected activities.

Since September 2020, China has increased its use of gray zone tactics. This includes incrementally increasing the number of military aircraft and naval ships operating around Taiwan.
