Taking a historic step for global harmony, Stanford University of America and the World Peace Centre of India have signed an important agreement.
Professor Anurag of Stanford University announced that Stanford students will travel to India for peace education at the World Peace Centre.
The announcement came during the international seminar ‘World Peace and Goodwill through Peace Education’ held at the World Peace Centre in Gurugram.
Professor Anurag, who attended as the keynote speaker, confirmed that Stanford students will gain peace education in India.
In his address, Professor Anurag said conflicts and unrest are rising across the world. He added that peace education is an effective tool to empower the youth.
Additionally, he stressed that Stanford students will learn from India’s ancient peace traditions and spread peace worldwide.
The agreement will encourage knowledge exchange, joint programmes, and research between both institutions.
Professor Anurag said the initiative will help young minds shape a global culture of peace.
Jain Acharya Lokesh Muni, founder of the World Peace Centre, described the agreement as a milestone.
“This contract between Stanford University and the World Peace Centre will revolutionise education and spread peace and goodwill globally. India’s spiritual heritage will now shine on the world stage,” he stated.
Acharya Lokesh Muni has received the National Communal Harmony Award from the Government of India and the US Presidential Award. He has also been honoured by the Parliaments of the United Nations, America, Britain, and Canada.
Experts, academicians, and social workers joined the Gurugram seminar.
