PM Modi Thanks New Zealand For Warm Hospitality After Historic Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people and Government of New Zealand for their warm hospitality during his landmark visit, the first by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 40 years. He described the visit as a significant milestone that strengthened bilateral relations and opened a new chapter in cooperation between the two nations.

In a post on X, PM Modi thanked New Zealand for the warm welcome and appreciated the goodwill extended throughout his visit. He said the tour reflected the shared commitment of both countries to deepen engagement across multiple sectors.

The visit resulted in India and New Zealand elevating their relationship to a Strategic Partnership.

Both sides also adopted a Roadmap to 2030, which aims to double bilateral trade while expanding cooperation in key strategic areas.

India and New Zealand agreed to strengthen collaboration in trade, investment, defence, education, culture, sports and people-to-people exchanges.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to building stronger economic and diplomatic ties while creating new opportunities for mutual growth and development.
