Komac Chairman Mike Cho lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s energy and leadership as he extended birthday wishes to the Indian leader on his 75th birthday.
Speaking to IANS, Cho described India as a ‘top-tier and promising country’ with the fastest annual growth rate among major economies.
He highlighted PM Modi’s active global presence, noting, “Despite being 75 years old, PM Modi participates in every meeting—whether big or small—across the world. He is definitely a very good and fully capable leader, both economically and politically.”
Cho recalled his visit to India a decade ago as part of the Korean President’s delegation, when he also had dinner with Prime Minister Modi.
“I wish I had the opportunity to meet him again after 10 years. It would make my life wonderful,” he said.
Emphasising stronger bilateral ties, Cho said he wanted to promote development in both countries through closer cooperation.
“The Indian economy is one of the fastest-growing in the world, and relations between the Korean and Indian economies have always been excellent. I really want to cooperate with reputable Indian companies,” he stated.
Cho underlined that both India and South Korea have long served as manufacturing bases for global companies. He pointed out that most of Korea’s conglomerates already operate factories in India.
“Our cooperation will develop far more than any other economy. The pace of growth in both countries will change, and records will soon be broken. We are not competing with each other, but cooperating together,” he added.
