Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Slovak President Peter Pellegrini in Bratislava and described the interaction as productive and insightful.
Following the meeting, PM Modi said he was pleased to continue the discussions that began during President Pellegrini’s visit to New Delhi earlier this year.

The Slovak President also highlighted the strong rapport between the two leaders and expressed satisfaction at building upon the open dialogue established during their previous meeting.
During their discussions at the Presidential Palace, the two leaders reviewed opportunities to strengthen collaboration in manufacturing, transport, innovation, and investment. They also explored avenues for deeper engagement in energy, biofuels, and digital technology.
PM Modi noted that both sides recognised the importance of expanding people-to-people contacts as a means of further enhancing bilateral relations.
Delegation-level talks took place in the presence of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the leaders welcomed the steady progress in cooperation across several sectors.
The discussions covered areas such as digitalisation, innovation, defence, space, nuclear energy, and education, reflecting the broad scope of the India-Slovakia partnership.
The two leaders also exchanged gifts and visited a painting exhibition during the visit.
Ahead of the International Day of Yoga on 21 June, they attended a Yoga programme organised at the Presidential Palace, where Slovak youth participated in demonstrations of various Yoga practices.
The event showcased the growing cultural connections between the two countries and the global appeal of Yoga.
President Pellegrini described PM Modi’s visit as a historic occasion and praised his achievement as India’s longest-serving democratically elected Prime Minister.
