Pakistan has reportedly rebuilt the Bahawalpur headquarters of UN-designated terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), which India damaged during Operation Sindoor in May 2025, according to media reports citing intelligence inputs.
Images and intelligence inputs reportedly show extensive reconstruction at the Markaz Subhanallah complex, including fresh plaster, paint and polished marble.
Workers have repaired the damaged central hall, filled the craters and refurbished the structure for possible regular use by JeM.
Several reports citing intelligence inputs claimed that the Pakistani establishment provided JeM around Rs 25 crore in cash instalments for reconstruction.
Reports said authorities allocated around Rs 11 crore to rebuild the central hall.
The strikes damaged structures around the complex, including Madrasa Al-Sabir, described in reports as an indoctrination centre, and residential quarters used by JeM commanders.
Authorities reportedly cleared or demolished these structures and carried out new construction at the site.
India targeted the Bahawalpur facility during Operation Sindoor, which it launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, 2025.
India targeted Pakistan-based terror infrastructure in Muridke and Bahawalpur during the operation.
The Indian Army, Air Force and Navy conducted the coordinated operation on May 6 and 7.
Indian forces reportedly fired 24 missiles at nine terror facilities across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, targeting what Indian authorities identified as verified terrorist infrastructure.
The operation followed the Pahalgam attack, in which Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 people, including 25 tourists and a local pony operator.
The attackers reportedly targeted victims based on their religion before killing them.
Operation Sindoor marked a major Indian military response against Pakistan-based terror infrastructure and combined military action with wider strategic measures.
