Over 17,00 Schools Closed As Severe Flooding Hits Mayanmar

According to the Information Team of Myanmar’s State Administration Council, severe flooding has forced the temporary closure of over 1,700 schools in nine states and regions of the Mayanmar.

According to the information team, the floods Mayanmar were brought on by the Ayeyarwady and Chindwin rivers’ growing water levels.

The Xinhua news agency said that the lost school days will be made up on vacations as the flood recedes to make sure pupils don’t miss out on learning.

The statement also stated that 1,120 schools nationwide have sustained damage as a result of natural calamities.
