North Korea Slams United States-South Korea Defense Agreement, Warns Of Serious Danger

On Saturday, North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un’s sister, Kim Yo Jong warned that the new United States-South Korea agreement will only lead to more serious danger.

Yoon Suk Yeol, the South Korean President was in Washington earlier this week to seek security assurances from US President Joe Biden.

Following the summit, Biden stated that any North Korean nuclear attack on the United States or its allies would result in the end of whatever regime took such action.

Kim Yo Jong said, “The summit only enhanced North Korea’s determination to improve its nuclear arsenal and that a nuclear deterrent should be brought to further perfection”.

The commitment to have United States nuclear submarines make port visits in South Korea, something that has not happened in over 40 years, is a major component of the renewed United States statement of support for South Korea.

The two countries also agreed to prepare for bilateral presidential discussions in the case of a North Korean nuclear attack, the formation of a nuclear consultative committee, and better intelligence exchange.

The top foreign policy official stated that the agreement reflected the most hostile and aggressive will of action against North Korea and threatens regional peace and security.

Kim Yo Jong also slammed Biden, describing him as senile and too miscalculating, and irresponsibly brave.

She said, however, that Pyongyang wouldn’t simply ignore his statement and that he should be prepared for far too great an after-storm.

In a tit-for-tat cycle, North Korea’s nuclear demonstrations and the United States-South Korean military drills have risen in recent months.

Biden’s meeting with Yoon occurred during a period of increased tension in the Korean Peninsula.

North Korea has conducted nearly 100 missile tests since the beginning of 2022, breaking records and defying sanctions.

Kim Jong Un is largely expected to raise the stakes in the coming months as he maintains the country’s nuclear.

South Korea has also increased military training with the United States and enlisted nuclear scientists to accelerate the manufacturing of weapons-grade material.
