Japan Experiences Earthquake Of Magnitude 6.1; No Tsunami Warning Issued

On Tuesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency reported an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.1 struck the prefectures of Iwate and Aomori in northern Japan.

According to the agency, the epicentre was in the Northern coastal region of Iwate Prefecture and no tsunami warning had been issued.

There was no report of immediate damage.
