Syrian air defences engaged and managed to intercept some of the incoming missiles, but many still reached their targets. Later updates from Maher Younes, Director of Health in Hama, reported that the death toll had risen to four, with 15 others injured.
Pro-government Sham FM radio also reported extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, including properties and the power grid, along the Masyaf-Wadi al-Oyoun highway in western Hama. The attack has heightened tensions in the region and raised concerns about further escalation.
