The Israel Defence Forces announced on Wednesday that its soldiers in Gaza uncovered a tunnel shaft inside a school.
The 5th Brigade’s assault unit uncovered the tunnel in the southern Gaza neighborhood of Khirbet Ahza. The forces also discovered images of weapons tailored toward youngsters. The IDF posted a photo showing numerous mortars, grenades, and bullets inside the school.
Forces raided Hamas observation stations and areas where terror squads fired anti-tank rockets during the military operation in Khirbet Ahza.
Meanwhile, in Khan Yunis, ground forces launched an airstrike on a terror squad attempting to connect a bomb to a tank. Soldiers also recovered firearms and a safe containing hundreds of thousands of shekels from the residence of a Nukhba unit member of Hamas.
A Palestinian Islamic Jihad munitions production complex was also hit by an Israeli fighter jet in Khan Yunis.

On October 7, at least 1,200 people were murdered in Hamas strikes in Israeli villages near the Gaza border. The number of men, women, children, soldiers, and foreigners detained by Hamas in Gaza is now estimated to reach 129. Other persons are still missing as Israeli authorities seek to identify the dead and look for human remains.
