On Thursday, Iran showcased the Khaibar, the fourth generation of its Khorramshahr ballistic missile, with a range of 2,000 km (1,243 miles) and a warhead weighing 1,500 kg (3,300 lb).
Despite United States’ objections and European countries’ concerns, Iran has increased its missile programme, particularly its ballistic missiles. Tehran claims the programme is solely defensive and aimed at deterrence.
