Iran Denies UAE Missile And Drone Strike Claims; Criticises ‘Unjustified Accusations’

Iran’s main military command, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, has stated that its armed forces have not carried out any missile or drone operations against the United Arab Emirates in recent days, according to a report by the semi-official Fars News Agency.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by headquarters spokesman Ebrahim Zolfaghari, who emphasised that any such military action would be declared openly and without ambiguity.

Zolfaghari dismissed claims made by the UAE accusing Iran of launching missile and drone attacks, urging Emirati officials not to fall into what he described as a trap set by the United States and Israel. He also criticised what he termed a ‘media invasion’ against Iran and the spread of ‘unjustified accusations’.

Zolfaghari further stated that the UAE has become a significant base for US and Israeli military presence in the West Asia region, hosting substantial troops and equipment.

The spokesperson said Iran has so far exercised restraint in response to the UAE’s stance and media narrative, citing concern for the safety of the UAE’s population.

Zolfaghari, however, warned that any action originating from UAE territory targeting Iranian islands or coastlines would provoke a ‘crushing and regret-inducing response’.

On Monday, the UAE alleged that Iran had carried out renewed missile and drone attacks, targeting locations including the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone and injuring three Indian nationals.

Separately, Iranian state television, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, quoting a military source, stated that Iran had no preplanned intention to target oil facilities. It also blamed US military actions for creating conditions that enabled vessels to pass through what it described as restricted areas of the Strait of Hormuz.
