Iran A Threat To Regional & Global Peace, Says Israeli Envoy Kobbi Shoshani

Kobbi Shoshani, the Consul General of Israel to Midwest India, Mumbai, strongly condemned Iran’s recent military actions and warned that the ongoing conflict could dramatically reshape the Middle East’s geopolitical landscape.

Speaking to the media on the fifth day of the escalating conflict, Shoshani declared, “The Israeli Air Force continues to respond effectively, striking key military and strategic targets.”

Iran-backed attacks cause civilian casualties

Shoshani confirmed that Iran-backed militant groups had launched rocket attacks into Israeli civilian areas, causing widespread damage and casualties.

“This is more than a military clash,” he said. “It is a transformative moment for the region.”

Iran’s Nuclear ambitions at the core of crisis

The envoy stressed that Iran’s nuclear ambitions lie at the heart of the current crisis. “Tehran’s goal isn’t merely deterrence—it’s the elimination of Israel,” Shoshani asserted.

He warned that Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons presents a serious threat not just to Israel but to the entire Middle East and global peace.

“If Iran becomes a nuclear power, the consequences will be catastrophic—not only for Israel, but for the whole world,” he said.

Call for Global action against Iran’s nuclear pursuit

Shoshani called on the international community, especially major powers like the United States, to step in and demand that Iran abandon its nuclear ambitions.

“Superpowers are trying to mediate, but time is running out. Iran must be stopped,” he urged.

According to Shoshani, a growing consensus has emerged across Europe and the Western world recognising Iran as a destabilising force. “Everyone knows Iran is a danger to global peace,” he stated.

Israel seeks international support

As the conflict enters a critical phase, Israel has called for global solidarity against Iran’s actions, which it describes as part of a broader campaign of terror and destabilisation.

“We are beyond diplomacy now. These are global events with serious implications,” Shoshani said.

The international community continues to monitor the situation with concern, urging de-escalation but also preparing for potential fallout across the region.

As tensions remain high, world leaders are under increasing pressure to act swiftly and prevent further escalation.
