Indian Diplomatic Missions In The Gulf Region Ask Citizens To Exercise Heightened Caution

As the regional security situation becomes increasingly fragile, the Indian Embassy in Doha issued a formal notice. It urged Indian nationals in Qatar to exercise caution.

The mission recommended, “In view of the current regional situation, all Indian nationals in Qatar are advised to take due care, follow news and advisories as and when issued by the Embassy and local authorities. Our Embassy is continuing to function as usual.”

Officials clarified that the Embassy continues its routine operations while keeping a close watch on unfolding developments.

Local emergency alerts have advised, “Everyone is requested to follow the emergency alert sent by local authorities that in the interest of public safety, everyone is urged to stay away from the vicinity of military sites and stay inside buildings, whether in homes or elsewhere, and not to go out or move except for the utmost necessity to avoid exposure to any risks.”

Similar Warning from the UAE Mission

India’s Embassy in Abu Dhabi issued similar guidance for Indian nationals residing in the United Arab Emirates. The Consulate General in Dubai also released a parallel advisory for the Indian community.

The advisory noted, “The Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai are continuing to function normally and will issue updates as necessary.”

Both offices confirmed that consular services remain operational and assured citizens that further updates would be communicated if required. Dedicated helplines, including toll-free and WhatsApp contact numbers, were made available for emergency assistance.

Earlier, the Indian Embassy in Tehran had advised Indian residents in Iran to exercise maximum restraint, limit outdoor movement and remain indoors as much as feasible in light of the evolving situation.

Citizens were also encouraged to stay informed through reliable sources and await additional guidance from the mission.

In a related development, US President Donald Trump announced that American forces were conducting an extensive and ongoing military operation. He said the campaign was aimed at targeting Iran’s missile capabilities.
