“Gali Gali Me Shor Hai…” Indians Retaliate Against Khalistani Group Attempting To Disrupt I-Day Event In Sydney

Today marks India’s 77th anniversary of independence, which is being celebrated by Indians all across the world. The Australian Indian community also planned a celebration to honour India’s Independence Day in 2023. Sydney was where the event was planned. However, a small number of Khalistani separatists arrived at the scene to disturb the ceremony. The Indians reacted angrily and began shouting, “Gali gali me shor hai, Khalistani chor hai.”

Captured on camera

The event was recorded on camera, and the social media video is now going viral. In the footage, it can be seen that the Khalistani supporters congregated on the opposite side of the road from the Indians’ Independence Day celebration event. Indians retaliated against the separatist group by yelling insults at them. A Khalistani walked down the road after hearing the cries and began yelling at the Indians. The Khalistani fan was asked to leave by the police after they intervened.

The murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar

The Khalistani separatists were demonstrating against the Indians since their leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar had been killed. Two masked guys shot and killed Hardeep Singh inside his truck in Canada. The killing of their leader is ascribed to India by the Khalistanis. Protests against the Sikh leader’s murder are being held by Khalistanis all over the world.

Khalistani protesters holding posters

In the footage, Khalistani followers can be seen brandishing posters of individuals sought in connection with the murder of their leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Indians responded appropriately to the Khalistani demonstrators who had congregated on the street outside the Sydney location where the Independence Day celebration event was held.
An earlier demonstration against India was staged in Canada by a group of Khalistani followers. Sikh For Justice (SJF), a banned Khalistani organisation, organised the demonstration. The Khalistani group offered a prize of USD 10,000 to anyone with information about the Indian diplomat in Canada, Sanjay Kumar Verma, in an effort to upset India.
