Dog Found Alive After Alleged Throw Into Seti River; Woman Held

A dog allegedly thrown into Nepal’s Seti River from Pankot Bridge in Bajhang has been found alive, bringing relief to animal welfare groups and local residents.

Animal welfare organisation Aatmoutsarga Nepal confirmed that the dog survived the fall and found the animal at the residence of the accused.

Local volunteers helped the organisation locate the dog and ensure its safety.

The incident sparked concern among animal welfare activists and local residents after reports emerged that someone had thrown the dog into the river from Pankot Bridge. The discovery of the animal alive brought relief to those searching for it.

Police arrested a 42-year-old woman from Jayaprithvi Municipality in connection with the incident. Authorities have begun legal proceedings as the investigation continues.

Aatmoutsarga Nepal and local volunteers played a key role in locating the dog and confirming its condition.

The organisation’s efforts also highlighted the importance of community participation in responding to animal welfare cases.
