Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic
In a dazzling event held in Mumbai, Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic emerged victorious as Miss World 2024. The prestigious title was bestowed upon her by the reigning Miss World, Karolina Bielawska from Poland. Pyszkova’s win marks the second time a contestant from the Czech Republic has claimed the coveted crown since Tatana Kucharova in 2006.
Pyszkova, a model in her 20s, is pursuing dual degrees in law and business administration. She is also the founder of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation, advocating for sustainable development through education. Notably, she has opened an English school for underprivileged children in Tanzania and is fluent in several languages including English, Polish, Slovak, and German.
Representing India in the competition was 22-year-old Sini Shetty, who had won the Femina Miss India World title in 2022. Although Shetty made it to the top 8, the first runner-up position was claimed by Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon. India, with six previous wins, has a storied history in the Miss World pageant.

The 71st Miss World pageant, featuring contestants from 112 countries, took place at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC. The judging panel included notable personalities such as film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and former Miss Worlds among others.
The event, hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young, commenced with captivating performances by renowned singers Shaan, Neha Kakkar, and Tony Kakkar, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of glamour and grace.
