China Trying To Gain Control Of Pakistan Media ? Asks USA

If US official reports are to be believed then China is trying to cast it’s influence and dominate Media houses located in Pakistan. This is for their own benefits. Apart from co-operating with Russia on information issues the dragon nation has started to dominate it’s allies and gain control of their media institutes. Pakistan is one of them.

China has become nervous over the reportage of it’s wrongdoings and hence it has become desparate to supress them. China-Pakistan Media Corridor” (CPMC) has been formed by the virtue of which China is trying to gain control of Pak media.

In its draft concept paper, China asked the governments of Pakistan and China to set up a “nerve center” to monitor Pakistan’s information environment by making it easier to access information from think tanks and opinion leaders, as well as CPEC study centers and media organisations, as well as from PRC companies and even local CIIs.

The State Department’s report claimed that China spends “billions of dollars” annually on “foreign information manipulation efforts” to spread “false or biased information” to promote “positive views of China” and the “CCP”.

This detrimental efforts of China should be sternly dealt with in order to preserve the sanctity of journalism.
