Catherine, Princess of Wales
On Saturday, Catherine, Princess of Wales, made a tentative return to public life for the first time since being diagnosed with cancer, attending a military parade in central London to mark Britain’s King Charles III’s official birthday.
The 42-year-old princess rode in a carriage with her three children and disembarked to watch proceedings from a viewing point.
This comes nearly three months after Catherine revealed she was receiving chemotherapy treatment.
Kate Middleton announced that she is making progress with her treatment, which is expected to last several months and is not yet out of the woods. She plans to attend the King’s Birthday Parade with her family and participate in public engagements over the summer.
“I’m looking forward to attending the King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer”, the Princess of Wales noted.
Kate Middleton announced she had cancer, following her father-in-law, King Charles III’s diagnosis. Both have not revealed their cancer type.
King Charles, 75, was given the green light to resume public duties in April after doctors were encouraged by his progress. He met with staff and patients at a London cancer treatment centre and attended commemoration events in northern France for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
