Benjamin Netanyahu Says Iran Targets Civilians As Israel And US Focus On Terror Groups

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Iran deliberately targets civilians, while Israel and the United States focus on ‘mass terrorists’. He made the remarks during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News.

Netanyahu described Iranian ballistic missile attacks in stark terms.

“A ballistic missile is like a bus full of TNT travelling at Mach 8 and slamming into a synagogue. Nine people were murdered,” he said.

The Israeli Prime Minister drew a sharp distinction between Tehran and its adversaries.

“These mass murderers in Tehran target civilians. We, in Israel and America, target the mass terrorists,” Netanyahu said.

He added that the fundamental difference lay in their objectives and moral stance.

“We have to protect our world against these people,” he stressed.

Netanyahu defended recent military action against Iran, arguing it became necessary after Tehran continued advancing its nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities. He said the regime did not change course despite earlier strikes.

“You would think they would learn after we hit their nuclear and missile sites. But they didn’t,” he said.

He accused Iran of building underground facilities to shield its programmes and warned these could soon block future military action.

“If we don’t act now, we may not act later,” he said, warning that Iran could threaten and blackmail the US.

Netanyahu praised US President Donald Trump as a resolute leader and said the US-Israel alliance remains strong.

Netanyahu concluded that failing to act would have granted what he described as an ‘Iranian mass murder regime’ immunity from future confrontation. He maintained that the recent action aimed to prevent greater regional instability and safeguard international security.

His remarks come at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East, with global leaders closely monitoring developments between Iran, Israel, and the United States.
