An Indian all-party parliamentary delegation, led by DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, reached Athens, Greece, as part of India’s global push to strengthen its firm stance on counter-terrorism.
This visit forms part of India’s diplomatic outreach to rally global support against cross-border terrorism. The Indian Embassy in Greece confirmed their arrival on X, stating: “An all-party delegation led by Member of Parliament @KanimozhiDMK arrives in Athens, Greece, underscoring the nation’s commitment to counter terrorism.”
India’s Ambassador to Greece, Rudrendra Tandon, and Indian mission officials welcomed the group on arrival.
India has sent seven such multi-party delegations to 33 capitals. These visits aim to highlight Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and India’s ‘zero tolerance’ approach.
Before arriving in Greece, the delegation completed a successful visit to Slovenia. They met key officials and opinion-makers there.

@KanimozhiDMK concluded its useful and highly productive visit to Slovenia. Extensive engagements and effective public messaging garnered support & appreciation for India’s new normal of zero tolerance against cross-border terrorism. ”
The delegation includes MPs Rajeev Rai (Samajwadi Party), Captain Brijesh Chowta (Retd) (BJP), Prem Chand Gupta (RJD), Ashok Kumar Mittal (AAP), and Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri, a former Deputy Permanent Representative of India to the UN.
In both Slovenia and Greece, the group plans to meet parliamentarians, government officials, and civil society leaders. They will reinforce India’s position that terrorism in all forms must be condemned without exception.
