Life expectancy, that is average life span of a person in Malaysia is 75 odd years. But this man got 702 years of jail sentence by the Malaysian court. It is like he is being punished for the next 7 lives. And this is not it about his punishment, in addition to this, the man will be throbbed with 234 sugarcane strokes. There must a huge reason behind the same. There indeed is.
The man is 53 years old and was convicted for raping his two daughters for 30 times from 2018 to 2023. Two homes in Muar, a part of Johor state, were the scene of these horrible crimes. Because to the mistreatment, one of the girls even got pregnant. The punishment should be served concurrently, the court ruled.
Due to the seriousness of the offenses and the assertion that it caused the children life-long suffering, the prosecution had pressed for a harsh punishment. The judge denied the man’s request for a lenient sentence despite his assertions of regret for his deeds. The court emphasized how serious the offenses were.
The judge hoped that the individual would think back on his conduct and learn from the terrible mistakes he had made as a result of the sentencing. He admitted his guilt and said, “I accept the punishment for my actions.”
