The Peruvian anti-narcotics department confiscated 58 kilos of cocaine in packages displaying Nazi emblems en route to Belgium.
The drug box also included the name of Adolf Hitler, Germany’s war-time leader.
The drugs were disguised within 50 brick-sized containers with the swastika emblem engraved on them.
The images were published by the local police on Thursday and quickly went viral throughout the world.
The word Hitler was engraved on the packed-in white powder in some of the packets.
The narcotics authorities said, “The drugs were being transported by a Liberian-flagged boat”.
The boat had arrived in Guayaquil, Ecuador, a major transit site for South American drugs bound for the United States and Europe.
The police did not say whether anyone had been arrested in connection with the case.
This is not the first time Peruvian officials have dealt with pharmaceuticals emblazoned with Nazi symbols. In 2022, they seized 22 tonnes of cocaine.
Peru, behind its neighbor Colombia, is the world’s second-largest producer of cocaine, with roughly 400 tonnes produced each year, according to government figures.
The country is also one of the largest producers of coca leaf, which is legal to chew or make an infusion but is also the main ingredient of cocaine.
