Lucknow, Aug 28: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to over 5,000 youth at a mega employment and loan fair in Aligarh on Wednesday. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation for 305 development projects worth ₹705 crore, aimed at enhancing Aligarh district’s infrastructure.
CM Adityanath stressed that development is the top priority of his government. He highlighted that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh faced an identity crisis, but now it is recognized as a leading state. He emphasized that continued progress is essential and that employment follows from development, with security being a key component.
The Chief Minister noted that employment fairs, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are being conducted across the state to provide private sector job opportunities. At the Aligarh fair, over 63 companies issued appointment letters to more than 5,000 youth for various positions.
The fair also saw the distribution of loans exceeding ₹35 crore to eligible individuals and MSME units through various schemes. Additionally, under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana, tablets and smartphones were given to over 1,500 students.
During Yogi Adityanath’s 7.5-year administration, more than 6.5 lakh youth have secured government jobs. Over 3.75 lakh youth have found employment through contracts, and the private sector and MSMEs have created jobs for two crore people. Loans exceeding ₹1.08 lakh crore have been distributed through various schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Swarojgar Yojana and Mudra Yojana.
CM Adityanath also performed the ‘Annaprashan’ ceremony for two infants at the event. Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, present at the event, highlighted that the BJP remains committed to development, contrasting with the Opposition’s negative propaganda.
