A Whirlwind BJP campaign at Surat by UP Minister AK Sharma

Energy and Urban Development Minister of Uttar Pradesh, AK Sharma returned today after a four-day stay in Gujarat following his whirlwind campaign in the Surat city assembly elections.

Aiming to a support the BJP campaign in Surat city, AK Sharma had visited the city with a day and night contribution meeting people of different communities belonging to each class and every region. He remained preoccupied in the numerous meetings and gatherings.

Significantly, AK Sharma started his daily election campaign from one or the other famous temple of different regions, be it the temple of Sai Baba or Hanuman ji or Lord Shiva.

By roaming in the streets, walking in the markets meeting people in the houses and shops, he kept encouraging youth and women workers.

Campaigned among the people of Marathi society by going to their residences was also one of the significant effort made by the UP Minister.

In that too, by going to many areas among the very backward castes, staying among them and garlanding many statues of Babasaheb Ambedkar, Sharma tried to connect them with the BJP.

Sharma touched the pulse of the people of different areas of Gujarat who live in Surat. It was clearly visible how popular and efficient campaign leader he was while meeting people belonging to Kutch Samaj, North Gujarati Samaj, and other such sections.

Also the booth level workers, people of Shaktikendra and other such key workers sat together and chalked out an election strategy with AK Sharma.

The UP Energy Minister also coordinated with BJP’s frontal as well as allied organizations.

AK Sharma also visited the houses of the unhappy leaders who were angry on not getting tickets. Sitting there with his supporters for hours he ensured their support.

As the overt support of people, a huge crowd was seen everywhere during Sharma’s rallies and public meetings. He used Hindi and Bhojpuri in his speeches throughout his stay, with maximum use of Gujarati language too.

AK Sharma says that several hundred of our friends and well-wishers have come to Surat from various places in North India including Delhi, Purvanchal and Bundelkhand and appealed to the local people with whom they had contacts to support the BJP.

He also said that the people of Gujarat as well as the North Indians settled in Surat, showered him with lots of love. His cordial attachment with the BJP and affection for PM Modi was felt all along his stay.

On the last day of his stay, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed in the campaign with the utmost efforts, cooperation and trust in the BJP.

Talking to media, UP Minister also told that an immense public support is being seen in Gujarat for Shri Narendra Modi ji and BJP.

Gujrat BJP leaders gathered in Surat also appreciated the UP Energy Minister’s transmitting political enthusiasm and energy entirely during the campaign.
