CM Yogi Reviews Mahakumbh Preparations Ahead Of PM Modi’s Visit

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj on Thursday to review Mahakumbh 2025 preparations. The Prime Minister will visit on Friday to inaugurate major projects for the grand event. The CM inspected the Sangam Nose, where PM Modi will perform rituals, and issued clear directives for flawless arrangements.

The CM also visited Akshay Vat, Saraswati Koop, and Lete Hanuman Temple to oversee preparations and offered prayers at these sacred sites. He performed rituals at the temples amidst Vedic chants, underscoring their spiritual significance.

Hospital and Infrastructure Inspections

Yogi inspected the temporary 100-bed hospital set up in Sector One Parade for Mahakumbh. He reviewed facilities like the ICU, OPD, emergency ward, and high-tech AI-powered cameras installed in the ICU. He expressed satisfaction with the advanced equipment and AI-driven messaging systems. The CM directed officials to ensure sufficient staffing, availability of medicines, and proper ventilation. The hospital, which includes a 10-bed ICU, is managed by Medanta doctors and the Cantt Board.

Yogi emphasized the importance of safety and convenience for devotees. At Kila Ghat, he reviewed the newly built jetty and urged officials to ensure smooth arrangements for devotees bathing at the ghats. He also inspected the Sangam Nose, where officials briefed him on PM Modi’s cruise tour. The CM stressed the need for cleanliness and security at all key locations.

Focusing on Key Developments and Cleanliness

The CM continued his tour by inspecting the Akshay Vat Corridor inside Prayag Fort. He admired the Smart City beautification efforts and appreciated artworks, including the Sapt Rishis and a child statue of Shri Krishna. Army officials presented him with a portrait of Akshay Vat. He then visited the Bade Hanuman Mandir Corridor and reviewed Phase-1 development work by the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA). Yogi performed rituals at the temple with Mahant Balbir Giri Maharaj and urged timely completion of the corridor project.

Yogi inspected Saraswati Koop and reviewed the Salori Drain purification project, which uses Geo Tube technology to treat sewer water. Officials informed him that the trial run succeeded, reducing pollutants before water enters the Ganga. He emphasized that no untreated sewage should flow into the river during Mahakumbh.

The CM also visited key Akharas, including Shri Panchayati Akhara Bada Udasin, Shri Panchayati Akhara Niranjani, and Anand Akhara. He interacted with saints and reviewed arrangements at these religious hubs.

Ensuring Readiness for Mahakumbh 2025

Yogi’s inspection concluded with visits to Triveni Marg, Ganga Riverfront Road Jhunsi, and Chhatnag Ghat. He ensured that all facilities for devotees were in place. He emphasized safety, cleanliness, and timely completion of preparations. Accompanying him were Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Jal Shakti Minister Swatantradev Singh, and other officials.

The CM’s thorough review underscored his commitment to ensuring Mahakumbh 2025 preparations are flawless and grand, reflecting the event’s significance.
