Online Hearing by the Urban Development Minister : Action on social media complaints

Yogi’s UP is pro-public welfare state and here is the epitome of this intent. Urban Development Minister did online hearing of complaints received from social media.UD Minister, AK Sharma directly interacted with the complainant and the officials through video conferencing.

Parallel to this, instructions have also been given to all the civic officials to take the complaints seriously and resolve them on the spot after conducting on-site inspection.

Lucknow: 01 November, 2022. State’s Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma today heard online complaints related to urban development department, received from social media in the office of the Directorate of Urban Bodies, Gomtinagar Extension. He directly interacted with the complainant and the officials through video conferencing and also watched the on-site video footage of the complaint.

Urban Development Minister AK Sharma heard complaint of Rahul Deoria (Jhansi), about the non-completion of the construction work of the drain and the difficulty in commuting of the people. The minister immediately spoke to the Municipal Commissioner Jhansi Shri Pulkit Garg to expedite the construction works and work in 20 days. Sharma also instructed him to complete ASAP. He also thanked the complainant for taking up matters of public interest. Taking serious note of the complaint of Pratapgarh complainant Raj Kapoor Vishwakarma about littering in Poultry Farm Colony Sagra Mirabhavan, the Minister directed Executive Officer Mudit Singh to do proper cleaning. He said that take the cooperation of the public in this and make people aware about the cleanliness of their surroundings.

AK Sharma gave instructions to clean the sewerline block in ward-39 Kanshiram Colony at the earliest with pressure machine on the complaint of Pradeep Upadhyay of Saharanpur. Similarly, on the complaint of Ritesh Kumar of Ghaziabad, the Municipal Commissioner, Nitin was directed to dispose of the garbage and remove the dirt and water-logging at the earliest. He said that people’s cooperation should also be taken for permanent solution of such dirty places and plantation should also be done there.

On the complaint of Brajesh Kumar Singh of Kanpur, several street lights near MD Bharti Intercollege for the past six months, he directed the Municipal Commissioner to install street lights at the earliest in the area. Similarly, on the complaint of Lucknow’s journalist Abhishek Maurya, about the dumping of garbage on the road near Sitapur Bypass Dubagga, the Municipal Commissioner Lucknow directed Mr. Inderjit Singh that the garbage dump should be disposed of at the earliest and the garbage should be disposed of regularly. Wherever there are places full of garbage and dirt, beautification and plantation should be done by cleaning them.

Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat, Secretary Anil Kumar, Director Urban Bodies Neha Sharma, Director Suda Yashu Rustagi, Municipal Commissioner Lucknow Inderjit Singh etc. were present in the public hearing.
