Another bus explodes in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district, just hours after the first explosion.
This is the second blast in the last 8 hours in the district.
The second blast is said to be have occurred early in the morning around 6 am in a bus at Domail chowk.
In the first explosion that happened in the bus parked at a petrol pump, it is said that two people were injured with zero casualties.
The first explosion has occurred somewhere around 10:30 pm near a petrol pump at Domail Chowk in the Udhampur district. Vehicles parked nearby also took a great impact of damage in the blast. The injured people were shifted to Udhampur District Hospital. Police and security personnel rushed to the spot soon after the incident. The investigation is still underway.
“The blast occurred around 10:30 pm. Two people have been injured in the incident and vehicles parked nearby have also suffered damage. The reason for the blast is still not known. We are investigating the matter,” said Suleman Choudhary, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range.
No casualties or injuries were caused in the second explosion, the police official said. The bus, however, suffered damage in the blast. The police official said investigation into the twin blast is already under process. He said security arrangements across the Jammu region have been particularly informed after the twin explosions.
