In fact, this lunch was organized in Parliament on behalf of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare at the International Millet Year 2023 function. Mainly millet dishes were served in this lunch.

Ragi Dosa, Ragi Roti, Coconut Chutney, Kalu Huli, Chutney Powder and other dishes were served in the special lunch. Special chefs were called from Karnataka to make Ragi dishes like Ragi Dosa. To promote the food culture, the MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were served food prepared from Ragi, Jowar and Bajra.
Many leaders of the ruling party and the opposition attended the luncheon ceremony. In which PM Modi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge were seen eating at the same table.
