Droupadi Murmu’s Moto: “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” , President Addresses Joint Session In Parliament

As the Budget Session 2023 got underway on Tuesday, President Droupadi Murmu spoke to both houses of Parliament. In a formal procession, the President arrived at Parliament House this morning. After taking office in July of last year, this was President Murmu’s first speech to the combined session of the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha members.

She gave an acceptance speech in the Central Hall of Parliament shortly after taking the oath.

The President traditionally addresses the two Houses in Central Hall at the start of the first Parliamentary session of the year.

Her cavalcade and the President’s equestrian bodyguards rode down Raisina Hills.

In the meanwhile, the opposition parties are prepared to criticize the government over a variety of topics, including the Adani-Hindenburg dispute, while the Centre insisted it was willing to address any topic that was permitted by the rules. Following the President’s presentation on Tuesday, the Economic Survey will also be presented.

WORDS SPOKEN IN PARLIAMENT BY PRESIDENT DROUPADI MURMU

India’s self-confidence is at an all-time high right now, and the world has a new view of us. India is supplying the globe with solutions.

By 2047, we must create a country that will be proud of its history and has all the best aspects of modernity.

We must create an India that is “aatmanirbhar” and is able to carry out its humanitarian obligations.

We need to create a nation where there is no poverty, where the middle class is rich, where women and young people lead the way in paving the way for society and the nation, and where young people are always two steps ahead of the curve.

The Amrit Kaal era, which lasted 25 years, was India’s golden age of independence and a time to create a developed India.

Currently, the nation is led by a stable, unflinching, and determined government that is aiming to realize lofty goals.

My government has made significant choices, such as banning Triple Talaq and repealing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Today, the world’s perception of India has transformed, and every Indian is confident. This is the biggest transformation that has occurred.

To eradicate corruption, a powerful mechanism has been put in place. The government is adamant that social justice and democracy are most threatened by corruption.

The wait for the tax refund was previously extensive. Refunds are now received shortly after filing an income tax return.

Today, GST not only ensures transparency but also protects taxpayers’ dignity.

More than Rs 27 lakh crores have been distributed to millions of people with total transparency. According to a World Bank assessment, India was able to prevent millions of people from falling into poverty during the COVID-19 pandemic with the use of such programmes and procedures.

Garibi Hatao is no longer just a catchphrase; instead, my government is trying to empower the poor and provide a lasting solution to their concerns.

The “Aspirational districts” concept is currently being reproduced at the block level, and 500 blocks around the nation have been identified. A programme called “Vibrant communities” has also been launched to develop border settlements.

11 crore small farmers who have been denied government subsidies for decades are my government’s top priority.

The government has launched a number of programmes to empower women. We are currently witnessing “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’s” achievements. For the first time in the nation, there are more women than men, and women’s general health has also improved.

The government has made sure there are no limitations for women in any line of work.

During the Covid-19 outbreak, India was one of the nations that placed the highest focus on safeguarding the lives of the poor.

I’m happy that my government has decided to extend the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in view of the current situation. Everywhere in the world, people are praising this plan.

Ayodhya Dham is being developed on one side, and a contemporary Parliament is being built on the other. Redevelopment work for Kedarnath Dham, Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor, and the Mahakal project has already been finished.

Innovation and entrepreneurship have received extraordinary attention from my government throughout the years. Our young are now demonstrating to the globe the force of their inventiveness.

Our defense exports have multiplied six-fold as a consequence of new initiatives by my government. I’m pleased that INS Vikrant, the first indigenous aircraft carrier, has joined our Navy today.

On the one hand, we are expanding our historical sites and places of pilgrimage, and on the other, India is growing to be a significant space force in the world. Additionally, India has launched its first personal satellite.

The government is working to eradicate all traces of slavery. As an illustration, Rajpath was renamed Kartavya Path.

Indian Railways is quickly on its way to becoming the largest electric railroad system in the world.

India does not think that development and the natural world cannot coexist. The government is emphasizing “green growth.
