Delhi Weather Today: No Rain Till October 22, Temperatures To Touch 34°C As AQI Hits 348

Delhi is likely to witness warmer weather and partly cloudy skies on Saturday following recent rainfall and thunderstorms.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) expects dry conditions to prevail across the National Capital over the coming days.

In its October 16 bulletin, the IMD forecast no rainfall in Delhi until October 22.

Skies are likely to remain mainly clear from October 18, with maximum temperatures expected to reach 32–34 degrees Celsius on October 21 and 22.

Recent rain and strong winds may have temporarily dispersed pollutants. Dry weather could allow pollution levels to rise again.

Vehicular emissions, road dust and construction activities remain major contributors.

Himachal Pradesh may experience partly sunny skies, with isolated afternoon showers. Uttarakhand is likely to see clear skies and hazy sunshine, while Haryana can expect warm conditions and isolated afternoon thunderstorms.

West Bengal is likely to experience warm weather, with temperatures ranging from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius in several areas.

Uttar Pradesh may record maximum temperatures of around 32 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures near 22 degrees Celsius. The IMD has issued no weather warning for eastern or western Uttar Pradesh for Saturday.

Despite the changing weather, Delhi’s air quality remains a concern. The Capital recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 348, placing it in the ‘very poor’ category.

Anand Vihar recorded an AQI of 348, followed by Mundka at 227 and Jahangirpuri at 212. Chandni Chowk registered 188, while Vivek Vihar and Rohini recorded 187 each.

Punjabi Bagh recorded 171, Narela 165, CRRI Mathura Road 158 and Dwarka Sector 8 155. Burari Crossing reported 139, Sirifort 128, Pusa 126, Ghoga 123, Jharoda Kalan 116 and Karala 106. Burari recorded 91, while Badarpur registered 51.
